Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services to Stop Accidents (STOP-Accidents), informs us that from February 10 to 16, 2020, 28 road accidents on the national territory (-17.6% compared to the week previous) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-29995-icihaiti-security-the-death-rate-on-the-roads-explodes.html made at least 50 victims (-39 %): 4 dead (-64%) and 46 injured (-35.2%) including several seriously.

Léogâne, on the Road of Frères (in Pétion-ville), Tabarre, Vivy Mitchell, Fonds Parisien, Cabaret, Lilavois and Miragoâne, among others, are the main communes and areas where these accidents have been recorded.

Remember that this weekly assessment was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to a lack of STOP-Accident means, it is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die from their injuries and are not counted.
