iciHaiti - Social : Distribution of food and masks in 5 Haitian islands

The Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) accompanied by local elected officials and representatives of other public entities proceeded on April 30, 2020 to the launch of the distribution of dry rations and thousands of artisanal masks to vulnerable populations of Gonâve Island (West), Tortue Island (North West), Île-à-Vache (South), Grand-Boucan/Obas (Barradères Peninsula, Nippes) and the Cayemites (Grande Anse), distributions which will end this Sunday, May 3.

Remember that to ensure the full success of the distribution of dry rations and protective masks to people in difficult situations in these island communities, the FAES had carried out the previous week an exploratory visit which had made it possible to develop during meetings with the authorities, a strategy adapted to the reality of each zone https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-30598-icihaiti-faes-preparatory-visits-to-5-islands-of-haiti.html Following these meetings, committees have been formed for better coordination in the distribution of aid.

Note that before the distribution operations, vouchers were handed to the beneficiaries in order to facilitate the smooth running and success of these distributions.
