iciHaiti - Tokyo 2021 Olympic : Aliyah Shipman will represent Haiti in Taekwondo
For the first time at the Olympic Games in Taekwondo, Haiti will not be a courtesy guest in this discipline but will compete with a qualified athlete.

Indeed, the American-Haitian taekwondoist Aliyah Shipman (18 years old, 67 kg) born in Florida of Haitian parents, who qualified for the Tokyo 2021 Olympics at the Pan-American Olympic tournament in Heredia, Costa Rica (March 11 to 12) , decided to wear the colors of Haiti, confirmed the Haitian Taekwondo Federation.

A participation that will have a positive impact on this sport in Haiti. As was the case with Ryan Martine (14 years old) from Les Cayes but living in California with his Haitian parents who won the bronze medal at the Cadet Taekwondo World Championship, in August 2019 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (Central Asia) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-28508-icihaiti-taekwondo-a-young-14-year-old-haitian-medalist-at-the-cadet-world-championship.html
