Following the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Port-au-Prince, as part of the investigation into the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, to hand over to the justice records of telephone calls between the number of Prime Minister Ariel Henry and that by Joseph Felix Badio https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34714-haiti-flash-the-prosecution-wants-to-hear-pm-henry-in-connection-with-the-assassination-of-the-president.html, the Digicel telephone company would like to clarify :

"1- That she has no access to any customer conversation, such as calls, SMS, BiP, WhatsApp, Signal Telegram etc...;

2- It can see which number called which number, when the call was made and where the people are.

But it is not possible for the company to listen to what people say on the call. Technically this is not possible;

3- As required and described by law, Digicel, like all other telecommunications operators, has the obligation to cooperate with justice. Digicel always remains in the line drawn by the law and the company provides the court with all the information legally required.

4- Digicel is a private company, it assures the general population that it will always cooperate with justice as provided by law."
