Sunday November 7, 2021, James Cadet, the Minister of the Environment arrived in Glasgow (Scotland) and joined the 15 other members of the Haitian delegation https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-35187-icihaiti-cop26-a-small-haitian-delegation-of-19-people-official-details.html participating on behalf of Haiti, in the negotiations of the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations framework convention on climate change (UNFCCC).
The Minister of the Environment was greeted at Glasgow Airport by the Ambassador of Haiti to the United Kingdom, Euvrard St. Amand and members of the Haitian delegation.
On Monday, Minister Cadet met with the Vice-Minister of the Environment and Head of the Taiwanese delegation to COP26, Chih-Hsui SHEN, on cooperation between the two countries in the environmental field. During his participation in COP26, Cadet will have several bilateral meetings and COP26 meetings whose the high-level segment where he will deliver a speech on Tuesday 9 November 2021, in the presence of senior state officials. of the 197 signatory countries of the Convention.
