iciHaiti - Weekly road report : 32 accidents at least 109 victims
The Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services to stop Accidents (STOP-Accidents), informs us that for the period from May 2 to 8, 2022, 32 accidents on the national territory (+ 18.5% compared to the previous week https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-36573-icihaiti-weekly-road-report-27-accidents-at-least-139-victims.html made at least 109 victims (-21.5%): 15 dead (+36 .3%) and 94 injured (-26.5%) including several seriously...

Avenue John Brown (Lalue), Arcahaie, Delmas 33, route de Kenscoff, Petit-Goâve and Léogâne in the West, in Duchity, in Les Cayes (Dept. South) in Fonds-des-Nègres (Dept. Nippes), in Saint Marc (Dept, Artibonite), Limonade in the North and Morne Grand Gilles are the main towns and areas where these accidents have been recorded.

Let's recall that this assessment was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross (CRH).

However, due to a lack of sufficient financial resources, STOP-Accident is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die as a result of their injuries and are not counted.

STOP-Accidents reiterates its call for caution on our roads and urges the Government to strengthen prevention measures and set up a systematic vehicle inspection service. In addition, the Organization invites road users to behave responsibly to reduce the risk of accidents.
