Statistical report of the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out by the National Ambulance Center (CAN) during the month of April 2022.

Of the 783 cases handled by the CAN in March 2022 (+3.7% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-36385-icihaiti-health-report-of-the-national-ambulance-center-march-2022.html ), 32% were transfers, 21% obstetric emergencies and 13% head trauma.

Types of interventions :

56 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);

39 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);

163 obstetric emergencies;

251 transfers (references and laboratory tests);

95 various conditions (malaise, diarrhoea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc...)

In addition, the CAN intervened in 51 road accidents, 12 gunshot wounds, 13 stab wounds, 100 traumas (injuries and fractures of various degrees), 3 cases of burns.

Of the 783 cases handled by the CAN : 433 interventions took place in the West, 150 in the Artibonite, 19 in the South, 32 in the North-West, 45 in the South-East, 63 in the North /North-East, 23 in Grand'Anse, 18 in Nippes and 0 in the Center.
