On Tuesday, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) unveiled the characteristics and security elements of the new 50 Gourdes note put into circulation on the national market.

Characteristics:

On the front of the note, is the effigy of François Cappoix (1766-1806), the bust of François Cappoix "The brave of the battle of Vertières with his cry: Forward Forward !"

On the back is the Fort de la Jalousière, Marmelade (Artibonite), witness to many battles fought by the leader of the insurgents of Port-de-Paix.

Security elements:

On the front is a front and back print to form the BRH logo.

On the back, there is a three-dimensional watermark representing the coat of arms of the country accompanied by a BRH highlight watermark.

The BRH asks the Haitian population to be vigilant so as not to take any counterfeit notes that may be in circulation.
