iciHaiti - Montecristi : 17 illegal Haitians, victims of a serious road accident 28/05/2023 09:10:42
According to investigations, the Haitians entered the country illegally and it was on the road to La Capitalita that the driver lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason with all his passengers crammed on board. Among the fourteen injured there is a minor who receives medical assistance at the Municipal Hospital of Castañuelas. The other injured after evaluation, were evacuated to various hospitals in the province where they receive medical care. Several people with minor injuries fled from treatment centers for fear of being arrested by the migration. Authorities are investigating the origin of the vehicle and the identity of each of the passengers and the driver who transported them. The versions of the wounded indicate that the group of illegal immigrants was traveling illegally from the Dajabón border towards the city of Santiago. S/ iciHaiti
