iciHaiti - Jacmel Valley : Inauguration of the Drinking Water Supply System

As part of the modernization of drinking water networks aimed at the development of the municipality of La Vallée de Jacmel, Guito Édouard, the Director General of the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) inaugurated the construction and rehabilitation of the brand new Drinking Water Supply System (SAEP) of La Vallée de Jacmel serving more than 10,000 users.

These works were financed by the World Bank through the Sustainable Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Project (EPARD). Include:

- The rehabilitation of 2 catchments respectively at Boursiquot and at Petite Source;

- The construction of a 150 m3 pumping tank

- The installation of 2 surface pumps with vertical axis (60 HP and 30 HP);

- A photovoltaic system composed of 158 solar panels of 450 W, A three-phase diesel generator of 40 kw

- A supply line, a discharge line and a distribution network, private connections;

- Construction of water sales kiosks;

- Construction of the SAEP management office.

Was present at this inauguration ceremony, in particular the Regional Director South, Engineer Philippe Eliscar, the Regional Director West, Engineer Rousseau Jean-Jacques, the Mayor of La Vallée de Jacmel, Macky Kessa, the Mayor of Jacmel Macky Kessa, executives from the National Directorate of (DINEPA) and the Regional Drinking Water Office (OREPA Sud) and personalities and notables.
