iciHaïti - Environment : Youth Employment Initiation, 2nd Cohort of 15 Trainees
On Monday, January 12, 2026, as part of the Youth Employment Initiation Program (PIJE), led by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the Ministry of the Environment (MdE) welcomed its second cohort of 15 interns at a ceremony. This program reflects the Government's commitment to strengthening the skills of young university graduates and professionals for the job market.

Joseph Emmanuel Philippe, Director General of the Ministry of the Environment, welcomed the 15 interns, emphasizing that integrating young people into the Public Administration is a key measure of government policy. He encouraged the new interns to demonstrate professionalism and a sense of public service, while also stressing the importance of discipline, creativity, and continuous learning as essential elements for the success of their internships, capacity building, and the success of the Ministry's projects.

In his address, Charleney Daniel, Coordinator of the PIJE (Youth Integration Program), presented the program's objectives and outline, thanking the Ministry's staff and managers for their support and commitment to the program's implementation and the warm welcome extended to the trainees. He also emphasized the need for responsible engagement, teamwork, and rigorous application of the ethical codes learned during the training sessions passed on to the participants. Finally, he noted that this program involves approximately 275 young people (https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-45520-haiti-politic-263-paid-interns-will-join-public-institutions.html) and will soon cover all ten departments of the country.

For their part, the trainees expressed their gratitude for this opportunity offered by the Government, as they signed the contracts marking the beginning of their experience in the Public Administration.

This integration reflects the Minister of the Environment's commitment to investing in Haitian youth, developing emerging skills, and building a more dynamic and engaged administration.
