Psychosocial support for the emotional well-being of students in Haiti 27/04/2026 08:57:38
Field teams remain fully mobilized without interruption in the North, South, Artibonite, and Grande Anse departments to address the needs of students affected by the effects of displacement due to violence. The activities implemented rely on tailored approaches combining group sessions, individual interviews, and psychoeducational interventions to help students manage stress and anxiety. In parallel, awareness campaigns on mitigating major environmental hazards are being conducted, with a particular focus on natural threats such as tsunamis. These initiatives enable students and educational communities to better understand the risks, identify appropriate behaviors in emergencies, and acquire essential safety reflexes. This fieldwork aims to reduce the psychosocial impacts of crises while encouraging the development of sustainable coping mechanisms. By maintaining this active and sustained presence, the interventions contribute to restoring students' emotional well-being and strengthening their ability to cope with the challenges they face.
