Characteristics : On the front of the note is the portrait of Henry Christophe (1767-1820). Hero of Independence, Henry Christophe was a seasoned military brilliant organizer. After the death of Jean Jacques Dessalines, Christophe ruled the Far North of the country from 1806 to 1820.  On the back is the Citadelle Henry, located at the top of Bonnet-à-l'Evêque. Military structure built at the beginning of the 19th century by Henry Christophe. This historic site is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Security elements : Tactility and intensity of intaglio colors indicating the amount in figures and in words. Silver metallic band under ultraviolet light; one side of the strip is fluorescent yellow indicating the sign "BRH". The BRH asks the Haitian population to be vigilant so as not to take any counterfeit notes that may be in circulation.
