Statistical report of the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out by the National Ambulance Center (CAN) during the month of August 2022.

Of the 567 cases handled by the CAN in August 2022 (-30.00% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-37350-icihaiti-health-report-of-the-national-ambulance-center-july-2022.html ), 39% were transfers, 22% obstetrical emergencies and 9% accidents in the public way.

Types of interventions :

23 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);

22 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);

124 obstetric emergencies;

222 transfers (references and laboratory tests);

85 various conditions (malaise, diarrhoea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc..)

In addition, the CAN intervened in 53 road accidents, 11 bullet wounds, 5 stab wounds, 21 traumas (injuries and fractures of various degrees), 1 case of burns.

Of the 567 cases handled by the CAN: 288 interventions took place in the West, 101 in the Artibonite, 28 in the 37 in the North-West, 25 in the South-East, 68 in the North/North-East, 0 in Grand'Anse, 20 in Nippes and 0 in Center.
