Following intelligence work and denunciations by the population aimed at locating Haitians in an irregular situation, teams composed of inspectors, agents of the Directorate General of Migration (DGM) with the support of the military, the National Police and in coordination with the Public Ministry of the Provinces concerned, have been deployed for migratory control operations, in the Province of Santiago sectors Hoyo del Caimito, Villa Verde, Beijing, La Otra Banda, Hato Mayor, Don Pedro, La Cacata, Urbanización Lopiza, Alto del Yaque, Villa Maria, Bella Vista, Pontezuela, Monte Adentro, and the municipalities Licey al Medio, Gurabo and Tamboril; in the Province of Monte Plata in La Loma de la Gallina, Don Juan, El Cacique and Manoguayabo and other areas of Santo Domingo West.

During this operation, 547 Haitians were controlled and after verification, 405 of our compatriots in irregular migration situation were transferred to Dajabón and Jimaní to be registered and deported to Haiti, while 2 were taken to the investigation department of the DGM.
